This month has been a very busy month for me.
In summary I have been very busy painting and having images placed onto mural tiles.
I have completed a recent series of whimisical watercolors including peaches, sea turtles, and 2 Bird of Paradise flower paintings.

This painting is my first fruit still life since 2001. I was inspired to paint this from an image a friend of my wifes sent to me.

This painting is from my front yard is Satellite Beach Florida and is comprised of about 10 different colors of washes from light to dark.

Second in the Bird of Paradise series, soon to paint some more I hope when I get the time. This is by far my favorite flower. The leaves on this floral are amazing in color.

http://www.derekmccrea.50megs.comI live just blocks from the beach in Brevard County, Florida and the Sea Turtles
are a very special animal in central Florida. Every year they come near shore to
lay eggs on the beach. The close in waves are scattered with sea turtle life
throughout the day as the turtles await for night time to come ashore to lay
their eggs. several months later little turtles crawl their way to life at sea.
It is said that these same baby turtles will return to this same beach to lay
their eggs when they mature.
Other news is Shazam Mohammed, of S & K Distributors, an art dealer for Florida and north from North Carolina down to Louisiana, is representing me in upcoming art shows with 10 of my works.
Bobby from Zaracus Studio in England finished the audio and video for the gallery
representation there.
Dave Bosley, managing director of Artwork on Tile is working placement of over 10 of
my images on Tile Murals for bathrooms and kitchen backsplashes.
